Short CV

My name is Giorgos Stathopoulos and I was born in 1976 in Kozani. By the side of my father I come from Mikrovalto, o small village the municipality of Kamvounia while by the side of my mother I come from Servia of Kozani. My parents Aristeidis and Vasiliki and especially my father as a retired Mechanical Engineer implanted me from the beginning the love for constructions and Siencies in general and as a result my studies in School of Engineering an one way decision.

I am a certificated Civil Engineer, graduate of a department of Civil Engineering from Democritus University of Thrace, in Xanthi. I am a holder of a master degree in Envirimental design of Cities and Buildings, of Hellenic Open University. I also hold the title of the Energy Inspector which was given to me after getting the appropriate education.

As soon as I completed my army obligations I started to work as a freelance. I run my own design and structural office which is located in the corner of Mitropolitou Ioakim Apostolidi and Konstantinoupoleos Street. I have been also involved in supervision of public building constructions as well as in the construction of water, drainage and district heating networks.

The main section of my professional activity are the study, architectural design, structural design, supervision and building construction management of private projects such as residences, hotels, industries, stores etc. As an Energy Inspector I am involved in energy studies, structures and building supervisions as a result in the contributions in the energy upgrade of building.

I’ m married to Vasiliki Moschou who is a professor of Greek language and I have two children, a twelve years old boy and o girl who is ten years old.
